Highly acclaimed C4 animation series released on DVD. Rude, offensive and downright weird, "Modern Toss" is an animated series that flies in the face of conventional wisdom. It's a world where alphabets are illegal, astronauts abuse ducks, and the sight of Alan Titchmarsh is enough to turn a man into a giant red monster.
A cult hit in the early 1990's this well loved show is finally released on DVD. Sean Hughes writes and stars in the sitcom that broke down the ‘fourth wall', allowing Hughes to address the studio audience and discuss the sitcom world in which he lives.
Blunder a Channel 4 ensemble sketch show featuring the best new character comedians in the country is released on DVD this month. The six strong cast includes David Mitchell (Peep Show/That Mitchell and Webb Look), Rhys Thomas (Fast Show/Star Stories), Tom Meeten (Mighty Boosh),  Nina Conti (Bromwell High), Tony Way (Extras/Saxondale) and Simon Farnaby (Spoons, Jam and Jersusalem).
Channel X has shot a pilot of it's new game show CASH CUBE. The show was hosted by charismatic former EastEnder Shaun Williamson , who playfully interacts with a gigantic talking virtual Cube, voiced by Steve Furst, Little Britain... This wickedly compelling show incorporates elements of tension, luck, strategy and pure egotistical gambling with a view to winning as much money as possible.
Channel X is greatly looking forward to drawing on Sally's expertise as we continue to push forward with new ideas in the field of scripted comedy. Sally has produced many successful scripted series including ‘Meet The Magoons' (C4) and ‘The Last Chancers' (C4), as well as our good friend Channel K's sitcom pilot ‘Living With Two People (BBC3).
Channel X has signed a first look with Fremantle on all of its new scripted comedy programming, granting worldwide DVD and new media rights. Fremantle Head of Acquisitions and Development Shane Murphy said: of the arrangement "We were drawn to Channel X's skill in creating not only solid, primetime programming, but also fresh, edgy and perhaps riskier comedy."
Channel X has shot two fifteen minute shorts for the new E4 Funny Cuts series. Golf Wars starring Simon Farnaby (Jam and Jerusalem), Rich Fulcher (Mighty Boosh) and Matt Berry (IT Crowd) is a madcap, all action sitcom based around the rivalry of two golf clubs. The Tom and Barunka sketch show features Tom Meeten (Star Stories) and Barunka O'Shaughnessy (Respectable).
Channel X has signed a development, distribution and co-production agreement with BBC Worldwide for its new non scripted formats.
Channel X has filmed 10 x 1 minute interstials for the Paramount Comedy Channel, featuring hot Australian stand up Jim Jeffries. The shorts are entitled: Jobs Jim Jeffries Shouldn't Do.
The list of countries that have now acquired Channel X's controversial animated comedy Popetown - has expanded to include Canada, New Zealand, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, The Baltic States and all the Spanish speaking South American territories.
Channel X has completed its comedy sketch show pilot Three Wheeling starring Barunka O'Shaughnessy (Bo In The USA, Respectable), John Hopkins ( IT Crowd) and Gareth Tunley ( Peep Show). The pilot features an extremely forgetful architect, a not so alluring modern-day take on the mythical Siren, and a French immigrant family who are ‘living the dream' in a housing estate in London.
On the 9th January 2007 Channel X celebrates the twentieth anniversary of its first show – the Last Resort. Producer Alan Marke is still with the company as MD and owns a caravan located on a permanent site in Selsey Bill. Presenter Jonathan Ross is the highest paid man in British TV.
